All Purpose Cleaner VS Disinfectant: What Is The Difference?
At Pathisol we sell two core cleaning agents that offer varied ways to effectively clean and deem a space safe. Most people don’t know which order these should be used or what either of them offer. The main difference is:
- The definition of an All Purpose Cleaner means to remove grime, dirt and grease from areas but won’t kill nasty pathogens and bacteria that cause infection and illness.
- Whereas disinfectants are formulated to eradicate microorganisms that include viruses, fungi and bacteria to protect us from infection.
Clean the Pathisol way
Always Clean before Disinfect, remember C before D (clean before decontaminate). There is absolutely no point in decontaminating a room if thorough cleaning has not been performed beforehand. This is because the disinfectant will not even reach the surface and will instead be soaked up by the particles of dust and dirt that have not been cleaned away. [1]
